Our core business - we translate into and from all major world languages, using in-house translators and a network of specialist in-country translators around the globe.

Our specialist areas include Law, Finance, IP & Patents, and Technical translation.

Our translators translate only into their mother tongue to ensure optimum accuracy, and we always match the document with translator expertise. In addition the vast majority of our translators work in their native country, thus negating any “language fade”.

To ensure quality, all translations are proofread to the same high standards, a service which is included in the cost of translation. We do not regard proofreading as an add-on service, which is why we do not charge extra for this task.

Our translators make comprehensive use of Computer Aided Translation software tools, where text for translation is received in machine-readable form (most commonly Word, Excel, FrameMaker or PowerPoint format) and where the situation demands. The use of these tools enables translators to achieve a high level of consistency of terminology and phraseology, particularly when working in teams to reduce lead times. It also enables cost-savings which we pass on to our clients.

Fully automated translation (Machine Translation) is available free of charge on many Internet sites, and we are happy to advise clients where to find them. However, results can be patchy – even downright incorrect – and experience shows that the majority of users remain deeply dissatisfied with the results.
